About Sukhumvit
Sukhumvit Road is the main east-west corridor of central and eastern Bangkok, running along the BTS Sukhumvit Line. It mixes high-rise condos, malls, hospitals, restaurants and bars, and has the largest foreign community in the city. Character changes a lot between the Nana end and the quieter stretches further east.
Getting around: BTS Sukhumvit Line runs the full length, from Nana and Asok through Phrom Phong, Thong Lo, Ekkamai and On Nut. MRT Blue Line connects at Sukhumvit station (Asok). Traffic on the road itself is heavy at rush hour, so living near a station matters.
